Recepie Cinnamon Rolls - Kanel Bulle - Zimt Schnecke

What ever you call them, we love them: The cinnamon buns. In Sweden there is even an extra day for the cinnamon rolls. Kanelbullens dag.

What you need to have at home:

Dough

75 gram of butter

7 1/2 dl of wheat flour

1/2 dl of sugar

1/2 teas poon of salt

25 gram of yeast

2 1/2 dl of milk

Filling (can also be double)

75 gram of butter

2 1/2 table spoons of sugar

1 1/2 table spoon of cinnamon

Do like this:

Melt the butter in a pot 

Then ad the milk, heat until body temperature

Ad the yeast in a bowl and then put in the heated milk and butter.

Then ad the flour, sugar and salt.

Work it out til the dough is firm and nice.

Then put to rest with a cloth on top.

Now let the dough to rest for 30 minutes.

You can now put on the Owen at 225°

Do the filling - mix butter, sugar and cinnamon nicely together,

After 30 minutes work with the dough.

Roll out the dough into a rectangular plate, 25x50 cm.

Now you can spread the filling on the dough.  

Then roll the dough together from the long side.

You have now a nice and long roll of dough with filling inside.

Cut the dough into ca 20-30 pieces of around 1-2 cm wide.

Arrange the pieces with the cut surface in paper molds. 

Ferment the buns under a cloth for another 30 minutest.

Brush the buns with egg and sprinkle with sugar.

Bake for 6-8 minutest in the oven.

Take out your delicious buns and cool on a wire rack for some minutest.

Then enjoy with some cold milk or a nice cappuccino.
